L-Arginine + Pycnogenol for ED
« on: February 12, 2013, 06:59:17 PM »
Background: 24, healthy, don't smoke, drink on occasion

Just wanted to let you guys know that I finally found some supplements that for work me, even though I had porn-induced ED (pretty much for a few years). I was starting to get really depressed after trying so many different supplements and none of them seemed to work. Maca, horny goat weed, Arginmax, steel libido, l-arginine, l-arginine + citrulline, l-tyrosine, ginko biloba, fish oil, multivitamins, etc. Although yohimbe worked pretty well, the side-effects (anxiety, nausea, cold sweats) were too horrible, especially if you drink any alcohol after taking it. With L-Arginine and Pycnogenol there are no side effects, plus you don't have to rush to have sex after you take them since they stay in your system. It's only been three days and I've already had the best erections I've had in a long long time. The rock hard, shiny-tip kind, which hasn't happened in ages for me. Also, I'm able to get it up without porn, which I couldn't do since I can't remember when, and literally the next night after taking these two supplements together, I was able to.

So in short, if you were like me, tried many supplements that didn't work out, give this combo a shot!

What dosage did you use?

Sounds like it's really had a positive effect physiologically. I've heard of the combination before but wasn't too sure how well they worked, and of course you got to be careful with high doses of arginine but hopefully the pycnogenol balances it off.

Yes these work great, and can accentuate erections but only once you have beat PIED and the mental side of things

Also guys, reload on a small amount of Zinc post orgasm

Citrulline is also great for circulation/erections. I've posted about this many times. I think PEGym or one of those penis growing sites had VERY positive reviews on it.

There's been at least one study on this which shows good effect

The dosage I've been using so far is 2 500mg capsules of L-Arginine and 1 50 mg tablet of pycnogenol twice daily. May up the dosage a little and see what happens, although I don't think it's really necessary. Bought some Zinc too to make my volume increase, although I didn't add this in until a few days later, after noticing the benefits of the other two supplements.

Before trying this, I had been trying to reboot for a few weeks, since I m'ed to p daily for years. I didn't really have a libido, hard to get/maintain erections (even if I did they were never like they are now). Didn't get too far into the reboot since I'd relapse a lot. But when I was able to stick with it, I did notice the positive effects of me having more confidence, better eye contact, being more social, etc. But for some reason after taking this combo I improved even more on all of those things, and it also seems like my libido is starting to finally come back as well. Got a random erection today at work which never happens (I even m'ed twice last night). Awesome stuff!

I recommend rebooting in addition to taking these two supplements, and you should be good to go!

Just be careful as the increase in libido and erections can be hard to tolerate when trying to avoid pmo. It's easy to test waters and become complacent which can lead into a relapse.

I've been taking citrulline malate and pycnogenol together for about a month, and have successful sex with no worries about getting an erection every weekend

I've tried them before and they used to work, especially L-arginine and Citrulline. But as my ED got worse, they stopped working. So the lesson to remember here is that unless you tackling the source of the problem, they will only delay the inevitable. But if you do tackle the source and use it as well, then you will be walking with a weapon in your pocket haha

I have an unopened bottle of Pycnogenol. I plan on trying it when I finish some other stuff. People rave about it. It's supposed to have tons of benefits including erectile function.

Raw cacao works on the same principle, because of the OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidin) content that stimulates bloodflow.

I had a very good erection when I went to the strip club last week, after taking some cacao pills.

The initial effects have kinda been wearing off, although still noticeable sometimes. This is probably due to the fact that I have been relapsing a lot. So as said before, tackle the root problem in addition to taking these, and you'll be good to go.

pretty bad. pmo prone to porn since 13. although, the effects havent been as great lately, but I still have had successful sex every time I've wanted it. Probably because I relapsed to PMO about two weeks ago and to MO about a week ago.

What brand have you've been taking?

This one. 250g has 70 servings in it. so just over 2 months supply. only 23$ for me. serving size is 3.4g

Studies have shown significant increase in erection quality with 1.5g of Citrulline supplementation.

3g of citrulline malate has 1.5g of citrulline & 1.5g malate which helps it absorb better.

Great pumps in the gym as well.

I'd like to get an update from any of the replies here. Are they still taking these supplements? Are they working? What dosages?

I'm assuming that these would be taking during/end of a reboot when rewiring/sex is available. What was your experiences after sex with these? Flatline? Would it be a relapse if you orgasm with a partner?

Aren't you guys worried that you get mentally addicted into these supplements? I'm interested in citrulline malate but do not want to eat it forever...

Citrulline malate is a natural amino acid. If you workout, or do a lot of physical activity, it has lots of benefits. I haven't inched towards porn since I found my problem; I'm confident I won't become "addicted" to something helping blood flow.
