The distinctive benefit I see is that after a solid few weeks of no PMO I feel this fire in my belly that drives me to be more assertive and demanding of myself.

Thank you for the list. Especially the pdf list of compiled experiences. I feel it's making me very strong in my resolve to drop my habit. It's incredibly motivating to learn of the benefits that await.

It is very hard for me to quit as I relapse in privacy with watching scenes on my iPad. However those 100 reasons I got will be quite beneficial to my life. I get depressed more often and get shy a lot. I am very pleased to have joined this website. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!  :)

This is a great thread.  I need the reminders and it is incredible how right on every observation is.  I find myself grabbing my penis as I walk by a magazine stand with lots of hot girls on the covers - just Cosmo and Vogue.  It is ridiculous!  And I have eight days now of PMO and I can feel a little space, a tiny little sense of control, like right now, I am alone, and my ipad is right next to me, but I am reading these posts instead.  They give me incredible hope.

Likeaboss025, with the iPad, I bookmarked this site on the page where my journal shows up (over 40) and I have been able to click on this site instead of porn.  But it is hard for me but I know you and I can do it.

SSK08, thank you for sharing with us the points that improved for you after stopping PMO. It would be useful if more members did this. I will do it if I ever manage to keep off PMO for more than a month.

All this PMO stuff is true and because no one was talking about it I wrote a book for young people few years back.  Now I see forums and sites dedicated to this and I'm so glad it is getting attention.  If you are struggling then feel free to download my free book and read it regularly.  It should give you some perspective on this as well as other helpful subjects:

first week of no cap, I mean a real decision for a lifetime when I decided to give up porn and masturbation, WAS MAGIC. I remember going for a run at 1am in the morning on my 4th day. I live in a big city, but we have this canal/artificial river edging the downtown, with a beautiful view and a running track. I was running and experiencing life on a whole another level.

A neuroscientist I believe said: "dont give me 100 neurotransmitters, give me 100 neurotransmitter receptors" (those are not the exact words) but it made a life sense to me back them. I was breathing deeper, feeling free. I am not for weed at all, but I remember smelling some guys on the bridge smoking weed; I passed the bridge and just enjoyed the smell of weed, as if I connected with nature, and was unaffected by the judgemental emotions I was used to be trapped in (I dont smoke btw :)). But the simple decision of a no cap, will bring everyone to a sudden happiness, regardless of the levels of urge and mystery they/I might feel afterwards.

The whole no fap life decision is probably the best decision I've ever made.
