Time to move on, I quit! I'm leaving you a present :)

    Hi everyone! :D

I opened this topic to give you something. I wrote a summary of my thoughts regarding porn, hopefully it will be of any use to someone. It's print friendly format, for you to read on your way to work or something. At the same time, I decided to quit this forum. I learned my lessons, I wrote what I had to say in the article, there's not much left to be done here.

Should you have any questions, just post them here, though I'm not sure I'm allowed to post as a guest.

I wish you all good luck with rebooting...

What about putting your (brilliant) PDF up on an open documents site? Others currently can't view it unless they are members of YBR.

    I highlighted the following lies:

I also don't know how you can say "1. Porn is not bad" when you've witnessed all the destructive affects its had on the members of this forum. No doubt you'll be back in here after few months due to relapse under a different username.

    "Porn is not bad"

How long have you been clean?

That's like a drug addict claiming drugs arnt bad.

For addicts (presumably that's what you are) porn IS bad.Not morally it's physically, mentally & emotionally damaging,IE: BAD.

Relapse/go back to it and your life suffers - this guy is probably another "I did 20 days,I'm cured" success story.

I think he rather meant something like "Some people watch porn and do not suffer from ED, HOCD or whatnot" same as "Some people drink alcohol, but not all of them become alcoholics".

I think that's some good shit he wrote. Gary should see this.

I know what he meant, that it isn't morally wrong - and that just like alcohol or other addictive things, when used moderately/sensibly it isn't 'bad' for you.

However we are addicts,it is bad for us.To say it isn't bad is to be in denial.

That's a straw man. Alcohol and drugs are just inanimate objects. Porn is clearly different as its living people created in the image of God prostituting themselves for money behind a camera.

I would also argue that pornography is always "bad" for you even if you are not addicted. Because your eyes are the window to your soul and when you view porn you are letting that filth into your mind which defiles you.

You may have turned your back on Him because of certain circumstances in your life, but deep inside, you know He exists. Everyone does. And the truth is that He loves you more than you can imagine. God can change your life if you let Him, but first you must repent and trust in Jesus as your Lord and savior.

lets not make this a religious debate or anything...
porn or anything addictive isn't bad for someone who isn't addicted...we have developed a different mind-set than those who occasionally view porn

regardless I think ppycat has done a brilliant job in these forums, hes defended those who are suffering with HOCD ( and genuinely, not denial cases)
and has been honest and shouldn't be criticised...he met his target...

quit porn, allow natural attraction to resurface and then live life...and that's what he is doing now

or else burn in hell for all eternity, while you beg for water to quench your ever lasting thirst for relief

again don't make this a religious argument and don't deny OCD

Drugs aren't bad. Humans fuck up and have bad experiences with them.

There's no such thing as a bad drug, or a good drug, they don't have moral qualities. A human being has moral qualities. There are plenty of opportunities to misuse a drug, or use a drug in a bad way, that's not the drugs fault, it simply has the pharmacological, chemical properties it has, right? It's all about how people use it, human behavior. Drugs aren't demons, criminals, pathogens or an evil virus, these things are not controllable, its the way people use them.

I don't believe porn is bad either. It's fucked me over completely but that's my fault, porn doesn't have the intention to cause me ED, depression or anything. It is what it is and we all abused it

Says the guy who starts his post with "lets not make this a debate". Interesting...

I have already given my reasons as to why porn is always "bad"... Now that you have expressed that its not I challenge you to explain how porn can ever be "good"...

P.S: Maybe you are on the wrong forum if you think porn is good.

no one suggested it was good..i simply suggested that if it isn't excessive and that it is controlled it wouldn't have any impact on peoples lives

I think you should go away and sin some more whilst convincing other they are...interesting

I'm thinking on leaving this forum soon too. This place has been a blessing for information and support, but I know what I have to do to beat this, wether that I do it or not is up to me

Sorry, the only lies here are coming from you, and they are offensive ones too. Why don't you keep your fundamentalist moralising to yourself?

His P counter was less than 2 months, i'm certain of it. And his M counter was a few days at best.

I take no pleasure posting here but it keeps me accountable.

When you realise how most of the women are used in the adult industry how they come from broken homes use drugs and alcoholto numb the pain of life

when you read from women that have quit how ashamed they are and couldn't look at themselves I think it's obvious p is very negative. ..... There is very little argument.... not everyone still uses it as an opiate but it's hard to say you use it without being selfish and mysogenistic......
