Inspired by the recent rants of my fellow friend Al, I have decided to encourage every single member of this forum to try out a well structured recovery workshop for overcoming porn/masturbation/sex addiction.

If we really want to break out of this relapse cycles forever, we need proper orientation and commitment.

Leaving this addiction behind is much more than just being able to go 2-3 months of abstinence. We have to change the way we think about life and sex in general.

That's why I decided to give Recovery Nation's workshop a try.

    Here it is: http://www.recoverynation.com/recovery/recovery_workshop_contents.php

Please, I encourage every single member of this forum to start this workshop, right now.

Let's do it, everyone, as a group!

I'm going to start the lessons today.

We should use this thread to share observations, ask questions, or just post anything regarding the workshop.

Remember guys, we're dealing with an addiction here. This is much more than just trying to go one month of no fap.

We need a deep change in our lives.

You can write notes regarding the workshop either on your journal or here in this thread.

    Let's do this!!!!

Re: YBR's first OFFICIAL experiment (Get in!!)

I haven't been on this site since last summer and it's nice to see you're still here. I'd do this but my problem isn't stopping porn as I recently got kina involved with a girl I've liked for a long time since high school and I finally had a chance AND I HAD ED! I'm so pissed and motivated it won't be an issue I just can't fucking wait for ED to go away! I'm about 2 Weeks no M and like a month I guess of no P and a week or so of no weed. I'm gonna post a journal entry now hope you read it! Nice to be back

If you deal with the addiction, ED will go away as a result.

I won't be joining as I consider myself 99% done rebooting out of my addiction, but I do encourage others to use a program. I dont talk about it often, but I used the program candeo when I started my reboot last year, and it helped me immensely. Most programs follow a similar formula so dont worry about which one you choose.

I tried Candeo a couple of years ago, but as an atheist I was extremely turned off by the religious references.

You know, things like "Sex is only acceptable within marriage".

hMM, I don;t believe in this thing, I think that it is maybe well-described but to break addiction we must change our life, we must take action, and DO things like socialising with people, be more active, happy, etc., DO not READ.

That's a very large part of recovernation's program. In the first 'stage' you make a list of values, things you want most in your life, and then you come up with plans to pursue these values. These values can certainly include being sociable, active etc.

I don't really like the negativity of it though. Saying how believing you can do it without relapse is too 'idealistic' and truly accepting you will fail, and given up all hope as the only way to be 'realistic'.

I have gone through the stage of given up all hope. But i'm still believing i can do a full reboot without relapsing. That's not being 'idealistic'. That's just being positive

    Exactly this.

Please guys, give it a try before dismissing it.

This is an experiment after all.

No harm in trying it out.

Everyone relapses before they're completely successful. That's not to say you will definitely relapse now cos you've already relapsed in the past, you've gone through that already. What it means is that no-one can go straight from addiction to totally cured without ever relapsing.

Re: YBR's first OFFICIAL experiment (Get in!!)

Thanks for the invite in particular and especially your moderating in general Underdog. As far as I'm concerned you're the Top Dog, but that's another story.

My question is, what about the other online programs? Can we at least present them and compare them with each other in some kind of comnparrison system like shopping portals do?, or is this program really better than anything else available? I read that Compulsion Solutions have something coming too. Anybody know what that might be about?

As for the rcovery nation one, I will check it out, but it would be good if you could craete a permanent post about peoples experiences so we can all make more informed decisions.

    Hope this is possible

    Pawz!
