Closure after 4 years of membership

  1. Hi Everyone,

I've been a member of this forum since approximately the summer of 2012. During that time I've read some great posts and witnessed great information being shared between members. In addition, I've read testaments of men who have overcome their demons and helped others when they were at their lowest points. This can really be a great community of support in the battle against erectile dysfunction & male problems.

Just a quick background, I can confidently say that I was one of the worst cases present on this forum. The last time I had a normal erection by myself was when I was 19 or 20. I am now 26. I suffered with erectile dysfunction all through college and then some. My erections were never strong enough for intercourse and it caused me to suffer in many areas of my life. In 2012 I thought I had found the answer when I joined this forum. i abstained for 5 months then orgasmed without Porn. There was a week after this O that I thought my erections had been fixed...the quality had gradually increased and things were looking up. Then I went into a flatline and in all honesty I was back and forth for the next 4 years. Always having weak erections which would gradually fade away. They call us the extreme cases....during this time I also frequented my Uro many times ( a good doctor who was understanding of a young mans struggles in relation to ED). I tried pills, injections, and even did 2 penile ultrasounds. None of these induced an erection. I was so confused and angry to be honest.

About two months ago I decided to accept that my issue had to be greater than porn. In all honesty I think it was mixture of bad lifestyle choices, porn, anxiety, and possibly genetic factors....most of which I had overcome since finding this website in 2012. I also accepted abstaining from Orgasm wasn't the answer to my problem and that time would not heal this wound. After engaging a separate Urologist in the same practice and having several appts to rule out other causes I decided to opt for a penile implant. 4 days ago I went through the surgery and am now a bionic man :). After the surgery was done my doctor came in and said I had made the right decision because I had a large amount of scare tissue inside my penis and that a natural erection would most likely not have happened again.

Now I know we all have different stories and symptoms, but I wanted to put my end result out there. While the implant has its issues (For example, my length is still adjusting and I will most likely have to get a new one in 10-15 years), I am now able to move on with my life and bring some type of closure to this matter.

I wish everyone the best and will answer any questions members might have. Thanks and good luck everyone!

What is a scare tissue ?

During the last years, how long was your longest streak of not watching porn (at all) and not masturbating (at all) ? - I'm asking this because I see in your older posts that you didn't reset your counter when you watched porn, but didn't orgasm - so basically you edged and still considered you were doing no-PMO ? (in my book, no-PMO means no porn, no masturbation, no orgasm).

Did you have a girlfriend to rewire with ?

Did you have morning wood or night-time erections ? If so, how often ?

Did you exercise ? Are/were you physically fit ?

Hey bionic man, your post freaked me out. During your reboot you didnt have erections at all? Spontaneous erections or MW? Did you ever had a strong erection? Can you describe some details about your new life? Good luck with it!

    Good for you.

Just out of curiosity - will you stay off porn?

  5. Hey Husky,

The day after my surgery he came in and said I had a large amount of scar tissue within my corpora cavernosa, that this scar tissue was preventing full erections. When I see him after my one month follow up I'm going to ask a little more as I'll be better recovered.

-I had two long streaks of no PMO, one was 2.5 months and the other was 4.5 months. It was broken apart between 2 seperate MO sessions. But during that time no Porn, masturbation, or orgasm. After these long streaks I probably MO'd 2-4 times a month. On occasion if I was having personal problems I would watch Porn, but generally not that often.

-Yea I never really used the counter, I kept a record for a bit, but found it counter productive after a while. I tried to focus more on lifestyle factors than counting the days.

-This last year I had a girlfriend for 6 months, I had to discover if rewiring was the missing factor. I found someone else who wanted to take it slow. During this time I O'd from her and not on my own. I cared about her and didn't feel nervous to be honest. I would get blood into my penis shaft and it would stay in there when we fooled around, however it wasn't strong enough for intercourse.

-I would get morning wood and nocturnal erections, maybe around once a week, but again they were only 50% erections. Like something was obstructing the flow.

    -Yep I exercise, 3-4 times a week.

Lol Bro its been freaking me out for years!

Yea, I've been able to get erections but I would say they're at about a 5 or 6 out of 10 consistently...never hard enough to penetrate. Not spontaneous, but MW and Nocturnal erections at times. The last time I remember a strong erection I was 19 on the verge of 20, definitely know what they feel like.

As for the new life it's still early on, however it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Like I posted previously, I've tried almost everything in the book. Pills, injections, and the penile doppler...to be honest after the injections failed I knew something wasn't right. I look forward to moving on.

Thanks man, and yea no porn. I did alot of reading off YBOP and the books they recommended. I've had alot of opportunities to have sex and not been able to because of ED, it's time to change that.

One of the main things I learned from not only Porn, but fantasy, day dreaming, and etc is that it's a way to escape your reality. Not having to deal with the problems we face. It's not a simple change, but we're all headed in the right direction.

I don't mean to burst your bubble or anything, but 2.5 months and 4.5 months no-PMO streaks are nothing. Some people need more than 9 months... sometimes 2 years. And absolutely no porn, whether you feel bad or not.

  7. There's no bubble to burst bud, and do what's best for you. I can only speak for my body.

But how did the scar tissue develop there? did you ever injured your penis? Couldnt your doctors see the obstruction with their ultrasounds?
